K – Knit

P – Purl

SS – Stocking Stitch

tog – Together

inc – Increase

YO – Yarn Over

YRN – Yarn round needle

MO – Make One by knitting into front and back of the stitch

SKP – Slip one, Knit one, Pass slip stitch over

B & T – Break off yarn leaving a long end, thread it through all the stitches on the knitting needle, pull up to gather tightly, then fasten off.

I-Cord – Transfer your stitches on to a double ended needle.
(Slide row to other end of needle. Do not turn your work and knit the row again) Repeat for the number of rows you need.

Twisted Cord – Cut yarn 3x the length of the required twisted cord.  Secure one end and twist the other – I find this easier if it is threaded through a needle which you can twist in your fingers.  When the yarn starts to kink, fold the yarn in half and allow it to naturally twist on itself.  Knot the ends to prevent unravelling.

KW2 – Knit one while wrapping the yarn around twice

SLP – Slip one stitch purl wise, letting the 2nd loop drop if there is one.

YSLY – Yarn forward, slip one purl wise, yarn backward
