Beret
You will need: 4mm needles
RAF Cadet (left) Black and pale blue colour yarn and Grey yarn for emblem

Start by casting on 28 black stitches
Change to pale blue yarn
Rows 1 & 2: Knit all stitches
Row 3: K1 inc, K1 inc, K24, K1 inc, K1 inc (32 sts)
Row 4: Purl to end
Row 5: K1 inc, K1 inc, K28, K1 inc, K1 inc (36 sts)
Row 6: Purl to end
Cont in SS for Rows 7-24, starting with a knit row and ending with a purl row.
Row 25: (K2tog) rpt to end (18 sts)
Row 26: Purl to end
Row 27: (K2tog) rpt to end (9 sts)
Row 28: Purl to end
Row 29: Cast off and stitch seams together


Making Up
Mould the beret until it forms a good shape and anchor with a stitch to hold in place.
Finish off with emblem in grey yarn.
