Hull: Cast on 13 sts in blue
Rows 1 & 2 - knit Row 3 - knit, increase one st at each end (15 sts) Row 4 - knit Row 5 - knit, increase one st at each end (17 sts) Row 6-8 - knit Sails & Mast: Change to white and brown & stocking stitch Row 1 - knit 8 white, 1 brown, 8 white Row 2 - purl 8 white, 1 brown, 8 white Continue central brown mast stitch throughout. Row 3 - knit Row 4 and every alternate row - purl Row 5 - k2 tog at each end (15 sts) Row 7 - k2tog at each end (13 sts) Row 9 - k2tog at each end (11sts) Row 11 - k2tog at at each end (9 sts) Row 13 - k2tog at each end (7 sts) Row 15 - k2tog at each end (5 sts) Row 17 - k2tog at each end (3sts) Row 19 - k2tog k1 (2sts) Row 20 - purl Row 21 - sl1, k1, psso. B&T For the back of the boat use the same pattern but omit the mast. |
