Main hat
Using 4mm needles cast on 28 sts in yellow Rows 1-2: Knit Rows 3-18: Starting with a knit row SS 16 rows Row 19: (K2tog) rpt to end (14 sts) Row 20: (P2tog) rpt to end (7 sts) B & T Arms: Make 2 Cast on 8 sts in yellow Row 4: P2tog to end (4sts) B&T Hat: Cast on 20 sts in orange Rows 1-10: Starting with a K row SS 10 rows Cast off |

Making Up Head: Sew row end together and 2 black circles of felt for eyes and a black yarn smiley mouth. Arms: Sew up row ends and sew to the sides of the main hat. Take a look at pic for guidance. Hat: Cut a strip of black felt for brim. Sew row ends together stuff lightly and sew bottom up. Sew a couple of sts through the black felt brim then sew to the hat as seen in picture. |
