Using 4mm needles and DK wool cast on 28sts in green.
Knit 2 rows. Work chart in stocking stitch starting with a knit row from the bottom up. Once chart is complete continue in white: K2tog to end (14 stitches) P2tog to end (7 stitches) Cut yarn and thread through these stitches, pull tight and sew up hat. Add a pompom if you like. |

Note: an alternative option is to omit the first and last 7 stitches on each row of the chart (leaving the centre 14) and the chart can then be worked twice giving you 2 dragons, one on each side of the hat.  |
