Crown
Using 4 mm needles and double knit wool
Cast on 28 in red.
SS 4 rows
SS 4 rows in white
SS 4 rows in red
SS 4 rows in white
SS 2 rows in red
Knit the next three rows
(P1, P2tog) repeat to end
(K1, K2tog) repeat to end
(P2tog) repeat to end
B & T tightly

Brim
Cast on 45 in white
Knit 3 rows
Next row: (K1, K2tog) repeat to end
Cast off.

Making up
Sew row ends together on both the crown on the brim.  Oversew the brim to the crown.
