Igloo Hat

 – Inspired by Dorothy

Instructions:
Using 4 mm needles, and white double knit wool, cast on 28st in white
Row 1: Purl
(For the pattern rows, keep repeating the pattern until the stitches run out – you may be mid-pattern)
Row 2: (P3, K1) rpt
Row 3: (P1, K3) rpt
Row 4: (P3, K1) rpt
Row 5: Purl
Row 6: P1, (K1, P3) rpt
Row 7: K2, (P1, K3) rpt
Row 8: P1, (K1, P3) rpt
Row 9: Purl
Row 10: (P3, K1) rpt
Row 11: (P1, K3) rpt
Row 12: Knit
Row 13: K2, (P1, K3) rpt
Row 14: P1, (K1, P3) rpt

Row 15: Purl
Row 16: (P3, K1) rpt
Row 17: K1 (K2tog, P2tog) rpt to last st K1
Row 18: (P2tog) rpt to last st P1
B & T

Doorway
Cast on 16
Row 1: Purl
Row 2: (P3, K1) rpt x 3, K3, P1
Row 3: K1, P3, (P1, K3) rpt x 3
Row 4: (P3, K1) rpt x 3, K3, P1
Cast off
 

Making Up:
Sew row ends of igloo and turn right side out
Sew row ends of doorway and attach to the main igloo as illustrated
Sew a penguin button in place, in the doorway, to finish the igloo.
