Innocent Smoothies Big Knit Hat Pattern Mickey Mouse

 MATERIALS
3.75 mm needles
Red double knit yarn
Black double knit yarn
2 small white buttons or felt

Cast on 26 sts in red & purl 2 rows
Starting on a knit row stocking stitch 4 rows
Change to black yarn st st 8 rows
K2tog to end (13 sts)
P2tog to end ( 7 sts)
Cut yarn & draw through rem 7sts
Sew centre back seam & weave in ends to finish.
Michaela uses mattress stitch on right side of work to create a neat finish when sewing up the hats.

EARS
Cast on 3 sts
Inc in each st to end (6sts)
Knit 1 row
Inc in each st to end (12sts)
Knit 4 rows
(K2tog K1)rpt to end(8sts)
Knit 1 row
(K2tog)rpt to end(4sts)
Cut yarn, draw through 4 sts 		MAKING UP
Use the picture as a guide:
Sew cast on edge of ears to top of hat & weave in ends to finish.
Using buttons or felt place on the hat as in the picture.
Your hat is now ready to be sent to Fruit Towers or your nearest Age UK branch.
