Baby Bonnet

Instructions:
Use 4 mm needles
Cast on 28 stitches in double knit contrast colour
Change to white and K2 rows
Beg with a K row cont in SS working in white and pale pink.  Thread two beads on to the pink – these will be used for the eyes later.
Row 1: K12 white, k4 pink, K12 white
Row 2: P11 white, P6 pink, P11 white
Row 3: K11 white, k6 pink, K11 white
Row 4: P11 white, P6 pink, P11 white
Row 5: K11 white, K2 pink, insert bead, K2 pink, insert bead, K2 pink, K11 white
Row 6: P11 white, P6 pink, P11 white
Row 7: K11 white, k6 pink, K11 white
Row 8: P12 white, P4 pink, P12 white
Rows 9 – 12: SS in white
Row 13: (K2tog) rpt to end
Row 14: (P2 tog) rpt to end
B & T

Brim
In contrast, colour cast on 19
Row 1: Knit
Row 2: (K1, yrn, K2tog) rpt to end
Row 3: Knit
Row 4: Purl
Cast off

Making Up
Work a tiny mouth in red/pink cotton.
Fold the brim in half and oversew the cast on and cast off edges, sew in place around pink face.
Use a length of contrast yarn, thread under a couple of neck stitches and tie in a bow.
Oversew row ends together and turn right side out.
