Fish Hat

Instructions:
Using 4 mm needles and double knit wool
Cast on 28sts in a sand colour
Knit 1 row
Change to dark blue wool
Starting with a knit row, stocking stitch 14 rows
(K2tog) rpt to end (14sts)
(P2tog) rpt to end (7sts)
B & T

Making Up:
Using green wool, work a few stitches to look like seaweed to the left-hand side of the hat.
Sew on the fish button using matching cotton and continue to sew on 3 descending sized sequins, I used a 9 mm, 6 mm and 4 mm sequin; all held in place with a little seed bead.

Finally, oversew the row ends and turn inside out to admire your work – I challenge you not to become addicted to these!!

I found a variegated dark blue wool worked particularly well with these hats – giving the feel of the ocean deep.
