Unicorns can be any colour – let your imagination run wild!

Instructions:
Knitted in DK on 4mm needles.

For the hat:
Cast on 28 stitches
Knit 2 rows, then stocking stitch 12 more rows
Row 13 – K2 together across whole row
Row 14 – P2 together across whole row
Cut a tail long enough to stitch hat up with.
Using a needle, thread through stitches and gather together.
Sew seam of hat using mattress stitch or your preferred method.

For the ears (Make 2):
Cast on 8 stitches
Knit 3 rows
Row 4: K2tog, K to last 2 st, K2 tog (6sts)
Row 5: Knit
Repeat Rows 4 & 5 until 1 
stitch remains, cut and bind.
To make ear shape, take a piece of yarn twice as long as bottom edge of ear, using needle, thread through cast on edge and tie together tightly to create a curved shape, sew onto head of unicorn.

For the horn:
Cast on 8 stitches.
Knit 4 rows
Row 5: K2tog, K to last 2 st, K2 tog
Row 6: Knit
Repeat Rows 5 & 6 until 1 stitch remains, cut and bind,
 leaving a long tail.
Sew seam up into a cone shape and sew onto front middle of hat.

For the eyes:
Using left over black yarn, sew a line and three small eyelashes for each eye.

For the mane:
Cast on 30 stitches, cast off 30 stitches.
Do this in two different colours or sparkle yarn or anything fun and colourful.
Sew onto back of hat in spirals, combining the two colours.
